Jessie Dunlop is a self-taught artist, with a background in archaeology. She has worked on excavation sites in Southern England and Central Spain. This fascination with the past is evident in her art, and the stories that are told upon the canvas.
Since arriving from England 4 years ago to make the Okanagan home, Dunlop has been establishing herself in the local art scene. She is inspired by history, old photos, and half-remembered stories from her childhood. Jessie’s work has been described as “otherworldly” and is peopled by characters and strange landscapes, drawn from her imagination.
